Christian stewardship defines our relationship to God. It is our faith in action. It is the tangible proof of the level of our love to God. The “real” essence of stewardship is that it is a way of life. Responsible stewardship attempts to manage all things entrusted to us in such a way that God is glorified.
God has invested much in each one of us. He has sacrificed Jesus for us. He has selected us, given us life, faith, time, abilities, promised to watch over us, and committed into our hands the gospel ministry of loving people to Jesus.
If you are accustomed to using your offering envelopes for your gifts to Good Shepherd, you may drop it in the offering plate or drop box, or send it in the mail.

Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement App
Go to the App Store or Google Play and search "Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement" to download the Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement App. After downloading the app, search for our organization name or by our unique invite code: LFXG2D. The app is an easy and secure way for you to set up and manage your giving all from your mobile device. This functions that same as automated giving, but by using the mobile app, you have complete control over how much and how frequently you make your contributions and it can be updated at any time.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are currently set up with automated giving and would like to manage your account through the mobile app, it can be done. In order to connect accounts, we need to know the specific email address you used to set up your mobile account. You can either call the church office at 847-741-7788 or send that information to khamilton@gselgin.org.
Most banks and credit unions offer some type of bill payment service to their customers. Using your bank's bill payment service, you can designate Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as one of your monthly payments. All you will need is the churches name and address to set this up. You determine the amount and the frequency of payment will be determined by what your financial institution allows. Since the church does not give out our account information, this will result in a physical check being issued by the bank and sent directly to the church.
